On May 27, 2021, Citi Handlowy’s Financial Markets and Corporate Banking Sector hosted an online conference titled „ The return of Inflation? The impact of the pandemic on price dynamics”.
Pandemic restrictions are being successively lifted, and the economy starts to recover. During the event, Piotr Kalisz, Chief Economist at Citi Handlowy, presented detailed analyses which showed that while perspectives of this recovery raise less and less concerns, a greater focus is put on inflation. He discussed such issues as: How the prices will react and what will happen to inflation? Will its increase be temporary? How will the Central Bank respond to this situation?
The second part featured Wojciech Krynicki, director, Interest Rate Trading Desk, and Piotr Łaś, Senior Risk Management expert at Citi Handlowy’s Treasury, who presented their thoughts on the interest rates outlook.
