In 2022, the prestigious IRONMAN triathlon will be held in Poland in as many as three locations: Warsaw and Gdynia have just been joined by Poznań. Citi Handlowy partners and actively participates in this event for another consecutive year.
The IRONMAN Poland’s theme will be „The Year of Dreamers”. It obviously aims at inspiring us to take the challenge of completing an IRONMAN race. But it is also meant to make us realize that each great achievement starts with… a dream.
- Dreams have a great power, and combined with a good plan and consistency in action, they often turn into a goal within our reach, said Olek Łakomski, Citi Handlowy’s Markets Sales Director and Live Well at Citi Leader during the official presentation of the IRONMAN Poland 2022. – I am glad that as a partner of the IRONMAN event for another year in a row we can support people who live their passion. As a bank, that’s what we have been doing for more than 150 years – we enable entrepreneurs and individuals to pursue their ambitious plans, and finance investments that shape our reality. This sports competition, in which we also actively participate, provide us with a great deal of positive emotions, and when we team up together with our clients, we can experience those emotions together. That is why I am happy that this year we will have even more opportunities for sharing the spirit of rivalry!
- We hope that athletes wearing blue Live Well at Citi team outfits will dominate the Ironman courses this year. In each location, we plan to set up relay teams with Citi Handlowy and Citi Solutions Center employees participating arm in arm with the bank’s corporate clients. During the Citi Handlowy IRONMAN 70.3 Warsaw we have ambitions to arrange for as many as 30 relays, said Paulina Harembska, Live Well at Citi Coordinator.
