Community Relations Officer, Citi Handlowy
Does the name of the program, “Business in Women’s Hands”, ring a bell? And what would you say to those numbers: 210 participants, 164 companies established within 4 years, of which 145 were running an active business in April 2018. All of that is possible thanks to the Business in Women’s Hands program and the idea of the Foundation for Female Entrepreneurship, plus the fact that the Citi Foundation and the Kronenberg Foundation at Citi Handlowy decided to pursue it a few years ago.
The results, i.e. the number of participants and established companies, not only give satisfaction to the Foundation but can also make Citi employees proud. The BiWH program could not be implemented without the financial and organizational support from the Citi Foundation, Citi Handlowy and the Kronenberg Foundation at Citi Handlowy. The support dates back to the infancy of the program, which recently (in April) completed its fourth edition.
- The “Business in Women's Hands” program conducted by the Foundation and financed by the Citi Foundation is an excellent illustration of the “Smarter Together” slogan, emphasized Natalia Bożek. -The group of women who have interesting business ideas gains knowledge during training sessions, workshops, lectures and meetings with female mentors. They can also expand their contact network, which can help them in their business. In our experience, contacts made within such communities are invaluable, as is the power of support that women offer one another. Female business is characterized by passion and energy, as well as by eagerness to cooperate rather than compete.
